All Star THOLA in action at BwB!

Written by H4H/S4H All Star, Thola Ndlovu

My trip to Dakar was fabulous and I enjoyed everything about the trip. My name is Tholakele Ndlovu I’m 20 years old turning 21 on the 28th of October. I work for Soccer 4 Hope And it has been 6 six months since I have joined and has been a great time. Now Senegal (on participating in this year’s Basketball Without Borders) it was hot but we managed to pull through. Being out of my country was a great expirience because I got to meet other people and NBA players. Who would ever thought that I would meet them?!? But yeah, you know I always thought Kita was short, but no no no he is actually short! Those NBA players are way way too tall. When I introduced myself to the players before I started a lesson, I would tell them I’m “Thola”, but they would say no you ”shorter” and i wouldnt mind because I am actually short! In Senegal girls are not comfortable tallking about sex and all, but here in South Africa we are more open about things and that’s another thing that I have learned, that not everyone speaks about these things. But we taught them well I believe. Changing one’s life is a great achievement but learning something new from someone increases the chance of you changing the world. Hoops 4 Hope is doing just that.”It all starts somewhere”  WAY TO GO HOOPS!!!!!!!!
