One of our stories for this month is on Bobbito. Here, Bobbito came to Zimbabwe almost a year ago. He coached basketball to more than 90 young male & female adults in the few days he stayed. Bobbito threw an open gig and shared the stage with local top DJs to people of a community called DZ. He was featured and celebrated in almost all the local press. He gave loads of hope and inspiration to a young and aspiring local hip hop star, Playa B. He learned quite a few local words including ‘ndeipi’ (hey), which he continues to use. His quick grasp of the local language saw him make a lot of friends – young and old in the communities when he toured H4H programs. Bobbito went back home to the USA and has stayed in touch with his friends back in Zimbabwe. In recent days he sent a box full of basketball shoes to help keep his friends motivated!
