Zim Teams in Local Playoffs!

Written by Ngoni Mukukula, Zim Country Director, to All Star Tonde!

Hi Tonde, I found this Falcons kit for your team Dangamvura Knights to borrow and return after the play offs. I am excited that your efforts are paying off by offering hope to all the young adults in your program there in the Eastern Highlands of Murare.

Coincidentally, your team is one of four Hoops 4 Hope teams to make it to the Zim National Championship Play Offs, 2011. Others that made it this far are: the new look ‘Raiders’ that is now made up of the first generation of players in H4H from the community of DZ. The athletic dunking master Tatenda Maturure is in that team. Then there is the ‘Pistons’ of Glen Norah led by the talented 3s machine, Simba Joseph. From Mufakose, Hustlers qualified for the play offs for the first time and Warren, former Prince Edward Scholar rules.

I guess we could say Hoops 4 Hope has made the play offs this year. Let’s go Hoopla Doopla!
